Q: Does egg donation require a contract between the intended parents and the donor?
| A:
There is no requirement for a contract between intended parents and donors, since their identities remain anonymous. A waiver is signed by the donor at the clinic handling the IVF procedure. |

Q: What if the donor we select doesn’t work out?
A: Occasionally for personal or medical reasons, the original egg donor does not work out. In such cases, the cycle may need to be cancelled. In such cases, the intended recipients may need to wait till a suitable replacement donor is matched up to the recipient. This may result in delaying the cycle for a couple of months.

Q: What if the intended parents – or the egg donor – decide that they want to meet?
A: The law in India says that the donor and recipient should not be known to each other and the entire procedure is done as per the legal requirements.

Q: How long does the egg donation process take?
A: On average it takes approximately three months from the time the aspiring parents choose a donor to the time of egg retrieval and transfer to the intended mother.
